PCM’s Huan wants DAP’s Guan Eng to reveal party action on Satees
PCM vice-president Huan Cheng Guan has questioned the “deafening silence” of DAP secretary Lim Guan Eng on a Facebook posting by a party man condemning the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
Huan has demanded Guan Eng to come out from the comfort of Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to inform lay public on what action the party would take against M. Satees, a DAP councillor in Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP), for posting seditious remarks against Sultan of Johor.
Huan reminded Guan Eng that he was not only the DAP supreme leader and Penang Chief Minister, but was also born in Batu Pahat, Johor.
Moreover, he said Guan Eng’s father, Lim Kit Siang is a Johor MP of Gelang Patah.
“So Guan Eng has a big responsibility to tell us what disciplinary action that DAP would initiate against Satees.
“Guan Eng cannot just sit in the comfort zone of CMO and be silent. His silence is deafening,” slammed Huan when asked on Satees posting.
In his Facebook posting, Satees, an ex-aide of Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy, has “told off” Sultan Ibrahim that His Royal Highness had no power to stop anyone from taking part in peaceful assembly in Johor.
The Facebook timestamp showed that Satees had posted it at 8.19pm on Thursday Nov 3, 2016. But a check by MO on Sunday found that the posting had been removed.
In the FB posting status box, which had gone viral in the social media, the Batu Kawan DAP secretary, has told off Sultan Ibrahim that: “Know your limit. You have no power to stop anyone from taking part in any peaceful assembly.”
“So, dear Sultan, you don’t try to undermine the highest law of the land by issuing your own ‘decrees’! Please know your limits, and act accordingly as the ‘Constitutional Head of State’!!” Satees slammed the Johor Ruler.
Last Thursday, Sultan Ibrahim banned street demonstration in Johor as it would only disrupt the peace and portray a negative image of the state.
